About Sheetal Singhania, Counsellor in Singapore

Care that understands the whole person.

Sheetal Singhania is a counsellor and former paediatric doctor with a Master’s in Counselling and postgraduate qualifications in paediatrics, including MRCPCH (UK) and FCPS Paediatrics.

Her journey began in paediatric medicine in the United Kingdom, where she worked across emergency care, neonatal care, community paediatrics and paediatric oncology. Supporting children and families through illness, fear and uncertainty taught her that health is never only physical. Difficult experiences can also affect our emotions, relationships, confidence and sense of safety.

Medical understanding and therapeutic care

After transitioning into counselling, Sheetal worked for nearly two years at the Centre for Effective Living (CEL). She supported adults, young people and families experiencing anxiety, stress, low mood, grief and loss, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship concerns, autism-related challenges and major life transitions.

Today, she supports individuals, couples, parents, families and young people with concerns including:

  • Anxiety, stress and emotional overwhelm
  • Grief, loss and difficult life experiences
  • Low mood and reduced self-confidence
  • Relationship difficulties and recurring conflict
  • Parenting concerns and adjustment to parenthood
  • Workplace stress, burnout and career transitions
  • School, social and developmental pressures affecting young people
  • Significant changes in health, family life or personal circumstances

How Sheetal supports you

Therapy is approached as a collaborative partnership. You bring your experiences, perspectives and goals, and Sheetal offers professional support and guidance as you work together towards meaningful and lasting change.

Her clinical approach is integrative and evidence-based, drawing on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based techniques and relationship-focused approaches. Sessions are tailored thoughtfully to each person’s needs.

Her aim is to offer a space where you can explore openly, develop deeper self-understanding and find greater clarity, meaning and direction.

A safe and ethical space

Sheetal adheres to the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) Code of Ethics and standards of clinical practice. This ensures that all work is conducted within a professional, ethical and inclusive framework.

No matter what brings you to therapy, she offers support in navigating your experiences and moving forward in a way that feels authentic and sustainable.
