Your counsellor.

Choosing to begin therapy is a meaningful step, and finding the right person to speak with matters.

I am Sheetal Singhania, a counsellor and former paediatric doctor with a Master’s in Counselling.

My path to counselling began in medicine. I spent several years working as a paediatric doctor in the United Kingdom, supporting children and families through complex and often emotional experiences. During this time, I developed a deep interest in the psychological and emotional aspects of wellbeing.

This led me to complete a Master’s in Counselling and transition into therapy, where I now support individuals and families through a range of emotional challenges.

My journey into counselling

My work has always centred around understanding people, not just their symptoms, but their experiences, emotions and the context of their lives.

Over time, I found myself drawn more deeply to the emotional and psychological aspects of care, which led me to transition into counselling.

What working together can feel like

My style is warm, collaborative and non-judgemental. I aim to create a space where you feel safe to speak openly and explore what is happening in your life, without pressure or expectation.

Therapy is not about quick fixes or giving advice. It is a process of understanding your experiences, building insight and creating meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.

I have provided counselling across healthcare and community settings in Singapore, supporting:

  • Adults navigating anxiety, stress and life transitions
  • Young people managing school and social pressures
  • Families experiencing relationship challenges
  • Older adults coping with loneliness and change

How I support you

I see therapy as a collaborative partnership. You bring your experiences, perspectives and goals, and I offer professional support and guidance as we work together towards meaningful and lasting change.

My clinical approach is integrative and evidence-based. I draw on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based techniques and relationship-focused approaches, tailoring each session to your individual needs.

My aim is to create a space where you can explore openly, develop deeper self-understanding, and find a sense of clarity, meaning and direction.

A safe and ethical space

I adhere to the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) Code of Ethics and standards of clinical practice. This ensures that all work is conducted within a professional, ethical and inclusive framework.

No matter what brings you to therapy, I am here to support you in navigating your experiences and moving forward in a way that feels authentic and sustainable.
